Changes coming to Rialto Police Department Leadership

Information sent to us today indicates that changes to the top leadership rolls will be coming to Rialto Police Department.

As of October 1st former Police Chief Mark Kling will come on as a “Consultant” to help transition current Police Chief Deanda into “Retirement”. Police Chief Deanda should be well versed in the retirement process as he regularly tells the story of how he was needed so much in the city of Rialto that he was asked to return to work three times after filing for retirement.

In the communication from City Administrator Mike Story he laid out the struggles a quick departure like this will bring “As the city administrator, I must ensure there is a smooth transition of leadership and place leading up to and after chief Deanda retirement. Ideally, organisations have about 1 year to plan the transition of executive leadership. Chief Deanda will be retiring from public service and three short months on December 28th 2017 there for once Chief Deanda submitted and I accepted his notice of retirement, plans for executive leadership transitioning were set into motion. As an organization, filling the position of a retiring police chief is Paramount to community safety, department operations, and intergovernmental Affairs across departments so there are minimal service interruptions”.

Earlier today the Chief was witnessed briefing his command staff on the coming changes in his Department. Those pictured with the Chief at Mimi’s in North Fontana were Captain Andy Karol, Lt Robert Smith, Lt Dean Hardin and Paul Stella. Staff could overheard the chief talking about the memo from Mike Story and the impending changes.

Nobody will ever know the true story on why we have such a quick departure since past leadership has made sure a replacement was already on the ground before major changes took place. For example:

  • When Chief Kling left he had vetted and prepared Captain Tony Farrar for the promotion.
  • Fire Chief Matt Fratus knew he was not going to work forever so he hired Sean Grayson our current Fire Chief to eventually replace him.
  • When Police Chief Tony Farrar was on his way out he secured the promotion and placement of Chief Deanda.
  • Even City Administrator Mike Story announced months ago of his coming retirement at the end of this year.

So when something is outside the ordinary you have to ask yourself what is the real story? What we do know is that the city has found itself under more legal action brought by staff that claim they were fired, discriminated or retaliated against without merit and some of those cases have began to settle out of court. The latest claim was made know yesterday September 26th 2017 when a $125,000 claim was filed claiming misconduct by a former employee of MHM & Associates.

Answers that will need to be answered are:

  • How much is the city going to pay 2 police chief’s?
  • Will Deanda’s removal begin to bring the lawsuits to a close?
  • How do you attract a quality Police Chief in a Financially Strapped city like Rialto?

There are more questions than answers.

Today we got some of the answers from City Administrator Mike Story who said that Mark Kling will be working on a $15,000 dollar contract for three months to help during this transition. Mark Kling is one of the brighter spots in Rialto Police Department history as he led the Police Department out of the scandals of the past and the poor public trust of the police department. City Administrator Mike Story said that this money came out of the city administration budget already earmarked for consulting.

We will update as more information comes in.

San Bernardino Unified Still Struggles With Weapons On Campus

Last year San Bernardino Unified was rocked with a school shooting that left 3 people dead one of the dead a student along with another student injured by gunfire. Ever since the shooting last year San Bernardino Unified spoke about strict standards for dealing with access to school campuses and weapons being allowed on campus. So one would think that staff who were deeply effected by the loss of a student and colleague would understand how important keeping weapons off campus would be right?

Some staff at Paakuma School say that yesterday reports of a physical fight between two staff members led San Bernardino School Police to find a weapon in the car of one parties vehicle. The letter from school principal Victoria Morales seems to offer a different story, one that has a gun but omits the employee fight.

Angelic Davis posted the post above on Next Door that confirms the same story that the School Principal put in the letter. We reached out to the Principal as asked in the letter and we were directed to the District Communications office where after getting hung up on twice we were finally able to leave a message.

What is odd here is that arrest records are not confidential when a crime is committed at a school yet the District is circling its wagons around this situation and controlling the conversation. San Bernardino Unified is already coming under attack as their move from citations to peer court is blowing up in their faces as the program is not providing the results.

At 4pm Tuesday we found out that Anita Rene Scott a Counselor at the school was arrested for bringing a loaded gun onto school grounds. Linda Bardere the district spokeswoman said ” It was locked in the employee’s personal car, which was in the parking lot on school propoerty. At no time was the weapon brought out or shown”. District officials said that another employee shared information that Anita Rene Scott claimed to have a firearm in her car. Anita Rene Scott posted $25,000 bail Tuesday and was placed on administrative leave.

We will keep you up to date as more information comes in.

Councilman Rafael Trujillo looks to get North End residents excited about a new discount market.

On August 3rd Councilman Rafael Trujillo posted a post about checking out one of the newest stores to be brought to Rialto’s last chance to finally bring something that residents want.

“My wife, Mirella, and I were checking out the market set to open as part of the Renaissance Marketplace in 2018. Any feedback?”

I’m not sure he was really prepared for the feedback he got. Residents in Rialto are TIRED of all of the discount markets being dumped in our area. We asked on our page if Rialto needed another discount market let alone one in the North End Development.

Julie said “No, have enough of those …. Drive down Baseline between Sycamore and Willow and there are a couple of hole in the wall dollar type shops, a Dollar Tree, a 99 cent store, Big Lots, Walmart (grocery), Stater Bros (grocery), Superior (grocery), Family Dollar, Walgreens, CVS, DD;s Discounts, Fallas, and Save and Tell…. if we want discount stores we can go there, can we maybe get a Hobby/craft store? How about an Ulta or Sephora? How about a Bath and Body works? See’s candies? Some kind of Family type entertainment? Hot Topic, Forever 21 ?? we really do not need another outlet type store, grocery or otherwise”.

You can’t help but agree with Julie or the throngs of other people chiming in on the Councilman’s post. Jason said this about the Councilman’s post It makes me sad to see that you as a councilman believe this to be a good option for Rialto. We need to make our city better and stop bringing in trash stores. Looking at the images you showed how is anyone supposed to be excited for a store that sells discounted garbage items that are of poor quality?” Families are spending real money that isn’t being captured here because our city seems to think were nothing more than a bunch of poor people looking to search through cheap 2nd class items. Families have commented that they spend $160 to $200 a month on stores that offer better quality and fresher options. That is $2400 of tax money going out the window with each families year fresh food bills.

Now you may say hey your being to hard on Grocery Outlet, I’m sure they offer great products…. right? Actually to offer such cheap prices and not take coupons they are selling some interesting stuff:

  • Grocery Outlet doesn’t accept manufacturer coupons, because their prices are already low. When a grocery producer has excess inventory or the packaging—not the actual product—is damaged, discount grocers like Grocery Outlet buy these products for pennies on the dollar.
  • Unlike traditional grocery stores that stock the same items weekly, discount stores stock items depending on what they get in (mostly overstock from other stores). So when you see something you like, stock up and stock up fast, because it might not be there tomorrow.
  • Often, when bigger stores pass overstocked products to grocery outlets, items are close to the expiration date. Knowing what “Sell By,” “Best if Used By,” and “Use By” dates mean will help you determine whether you can use a product before the quality starts to deteriorate.
  • Frozen foods are great deals at discount grocery stores, because they can live past their purchase dates as long as they’ve been kept frozen. YUCK
  • According to the USDA, cans with small dents are safe to eat. So if you see cans with small dents and banged-up boxes, it doesn’t mean the food is bad; it just means traditional stores can’t sell them.
  • Specialize in cut-rate food and household goods not “good enough” for your average supermarket.

To make matters worse is the following tid bits the City Planners are hoping you don’t notice:

  • In the next year at least 3 more discount stores will pop up around Rialto. These stores include Aldi, Five Below and now Grocery Outlet.
  • Still to this day the old Fresh & Easy building and the old ralphs in the North End of the city sit empty.
  • Plans are to bring ANOTHER fitness center to the old Ralphs building.

Were not sure about you but sooner or later Rialto residents need to hold their city planners feet to the fire and stop the flood of discount stores.

Public Safety takes a Break from Regular Duties to Attend Mayors Jazz Festival

So it appears that police from three different cities will be hanging around Jerry Eves Park in North Rialto. Mayor Robertson has brought back her failure of a Jazz Fest event once again to the city of Rialto. This time instead of just wasting our resources three cities are wasting valuable public safety resources on yet another failed event.

Whoever the Mayor has running her ticket sales they should have learned from the last failed event that dropping ticket prices at the last minute tells people WE CAN’T SELL THESE TICKETS. Normally you give early birds a great price then the general admission price kicks in, but Mayor Robertson not having a business bone in her body just can’t seem to learn how to course correct for the life of her. As you can see the price never went back up it stayed at the $45 price event at the day of the event.

Like it or not our Mayor has once again took it upon herself to spend YOUR tax dollars on a PRIVATE event without any outside oversight, here is a list of what DA Ramos and his staff are refusing to look into:

  • City Commissioners say that Pam Kennedy the Main office Manager was passing out a stack of what looked to be at least 200 tickets out to city staff and commissioners. Who paid for these tickets?
  • Police from Rialto, Fontana and San Bernardino are being used to “Police” the event. Watching Mayor Aquenetta Warrens FB live videos the police are partying right along side the event guests.
  • Nobody else has ever been allowed to completely shut down a public park EVER!!!! Let alone break park rules allowing Alcohol, Tobacco and Marijuana to be consumed in public park property.
  • Leveraging against local vendors forcing them to purchase large ticket purchases to keep getting lucrative contracts with the City of Rialto. Burrtec, Rialto Water Services LLC, Rialto’s Grant Writers and many more are constantly used to try and make these events successful.
  • Giving preferential treatment to one ride sharing company over others. Mayor Robertson not only excluded Uber drivers from working the event, some drivers have been told to remove their Uber sicker if they drive for both Uber and Lyft. Lyft is the only company allowed to work the event.

There is nothing wrong with helping a non profit.

There is nothing wrong with helping kids.

There is A LOT wrong with making special rules for yourself, allowing people to speed and drive drunk. There is also something wrong with not following the rules laid out for our PUBLIC parks. Some of the most restrictive rules the mayor supported herself. There are people every weekend using our parks and they get into trouble if they drive cars onto the grass, bring alcohol into the park, smoke tobacco or marijuana in our parks or restrict others from using a PUBLIC PARK.

If people that were previously cited for breaking these rules were smart they would get their citations reversed off of the cities double standard when it comes to enforcing their own municipal code.

New Laws for 2017 in California

new-law

With a New Year also comes with a flood of new laws. These laws are normally meant to protect you but they normally just make our beautiful state a place we just can’t afford to live in.

You will be beyond surprised at the time our legislators wasted last year in any of the laws that were formed and created. The reason that our state is in the shape it is can be laid at the feet of these crazy laws.

  • At companies with 26 or more employees, the minimum wage will increase from $10 an hour to $10.50.
  • Employers are prohibited from paying women less than male colleagues based on prior salary. Workers in “substantially similar” jobs but of different race or ethnicity will also need to be paid equal wages.
  • fb_img_1480130144446.jpg
  • Employers won’t be allowed to ask a job applicant to disclose information about an arrest, detention or court case — if it happened while the person was younger than 18.
  • Children younger than 2 must sit in rear-facing car seats.
  • Those convicted of driving under the influence must install a device in their cars that would ensure they are sober before they can start the ignition.
  • The state’s ban on texting while driving expands to include other distractions, such as searching for “Pokemon Go” characters.
  • Once a gray area for motorcyclists, new rules will be established by the California Highway Patrol for how fast they can drive when riding between cars along the lane line.
  • Companies including Uber and Lyft can no longer hire drivers who are registered sex offenders, have been convicted of violent felonies or have had a DUI conviction within the last seven years.
  • Drivers for companies like Uber and Lyft can’t have a blood alcohol content of 0.04% or more.
  • Charter bus drivers must provide written or video instructions to passengers on how to use the vehicle’s safety equipment and emergency exits.
  • School districts must improve bus driver training to avoid students being left alone on buses and must notify the Department of Motor Vehicles if students are left behind.
  • There will be new protections against foreclosure for surviving spouses who own their home but are not listed on the mortgage.
  • A program providing electric-car rebates will now only be available to those making $150,000 a year or less.
  • To help the state’s housing crisis, it will be easier for California homeownersto construct additional small units on their properties, whether in their garages or as freestanding second structures.
  • The cost for lead-acid batteries like those used to start cars and trucks will increase to help pay for cleaning up contaminated sites like the former Exide battery plant in Los Angeles County. Consumers will see the new $1 fee starting in April.
  • Inspired by the sexual assault allegations against comedian Bill Cosby, California eliminated statutes of limitations for rape and some other sex crimes. That means if a crime happens after Dec. 31, 2016, the victim can report it at any point in the future and see it prosecuted; previous law generally limited prosecution to within 10 years.
  • In response to outrage over the six-month sentence for sexual assault given to former Stanford student Brock Turner, prison time will be mandatory for those convicted of assault in which the victim was unconscious or not capable of giving consent because of intoxication.
  • County prosecutors can pursue felony charges against people caught with the most common date-rape drugs and who also have demonstrated the intent to commit a sexual assault.
  • Convicted sex offenders involved in Internet-related crimes must report their email addresses, user names and other Internet identifiers to police.
  • It will be tougher for law enforcement to seize someone’s cash, cars or property. A criminal conviction is now required before the police can permanently take from a suspect any assets valued under $40,000.
  • A ban is imposed on publishing the addresses of domestic violence victims
  • A ban is in place on possession of a synthetic drug called “spice.” The first offense would be an infraction; the second or third offense would be a misdemeanor.
  • Children can no longer be charged with prostitution, given the high incidence of human trafficking of people younger than 18. Adults who perform or solicit prostitution would not face mandatory minimum sentences.
  • It is now a crime to use ransomware, malware or intrusive software injected into a computer or network to hold data hostage until money is paid.
  • Public schools can now expel students for bullying through video or sexting. State education officials will be required to publish information on sexual cyber bullying online and encourage schools to teach students about sexting.
  • People will no longer be able to buy semi-automatic rifles that have a bullet button allowing removal of the ammunition magazine, commonly used in mass shootings. Those that have such weapons will have to register them with the state.
  • People who falsely report a firearm is lost or stolen would face a misdemeanor charge, and would face a 10-year ban on owning a firearm upon conviction.
  • Licenses to carry a concealed weapon will no longer vary from county to county. State justice department officials will create a uniform license.
  • Law enforcement officers and concealed-weapon permit holders who leave firearms in cars are now required to lock them in a safe box or in the trunk.
  • Bathrooms in public buildings with a single toilet must be designated as all-gender, open to anyone. The law will take effect March 1.
  • The state can’t fund or require public employees to travel to states believed to discriminate against lesbians, gays, bisexual or transgender people.
  • Smoking or use of electronic cigarettes within 250 feet of any Little League baseball game or other youth sports event is now illegal.
  • Beauty salons and barbershops can now offer patrons a free beer or glass of wine.
  • Denim is now the state’s official fabric to recognize its role in California history.
  • Every autographed collectible sold in California must come with a certificate that verifies it’s not a forgery, under a bill backed by famed “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill.
  • Click here for a free guest pass https://ufcgym.com/ontario/get-a-guest-pass

  • Patients who go to their insurance’s in-network hospital, lab or other health facility will not face surprise, larger charges if the doctor or health worker treating them is not in the network.
  • California businesses and public agencies are authorized to have on hand medicine designed to combat severe, emergency allergic reactions.
  • Women can pick up an entire year’s worth of birth control pills at once, and health plans must cover the cost.
  • To counter a spike in opioid overdose deaths, prescribers must check a state database to see whether their patients also have received drugs from other physicians.
  • Terminally ill Californians will have the “right to try” experimental drugs that do not yet have full federal approval for clinical trials.
  • Want to save an animal trapped in a car in heat or cold? As long as you call authorities first, you won’t be held legally liable for breaking into the car.
  • Dog kennels and pet hotels must check on animals once a day and provide elevated platforms in cat enclosures.
  • A dog seized from criminal fighting rings will no longer automatically be labeled “vicious” — which leads to it being euthanized. Instead, each dog will be evaluated to see whether it can be rehabilitated to safely re-enter society or be placed in a sanctuary.
  • Carbon monoxide gas chambers are banned in animal shelters for euthanizing animals.
  • Orca breeding and performance programs, like the one formerly run by SeaWorld theme parks, will be outlawed starting in June.
  • Felons serving sentences in county jails will be able to vote in California elections as part of an effort to speed their transition back into society.
  • Voters can now legally take a selfie with their completed ballot.
  • Voters are permitted to legally hand off their sealed ballot to anyone to mail or deliver in person.
  • More cities and counties can offer public financing of political campaigns.
  • City councils and county boards of supervisors are required to publicly announce pay and benefit increases for government executives before they are approved by a vote.

Making The Best Choice For The 31st Congressional District

This election season is going to be one for the record books. Not since President Obama first ran for president have such a large number of people moved to exercise their right to get out and vote for who they think should be our next elected leader.

In this article were looking at the race for the 31st Congressional District. The person currently holding that seat is Pete Aguilar of Redlands. Pete Aguilar is finishing out his first term as a Congressman and has been labeled the as someone who will be one and done by the website 2016donkeys.com the website lists political leaders that have failed to represent the people. The list of people include “Freshmen Graham, Ashford and Californian Pete Aguilar have all been nominated for “The Brad Schneider: For most likely to be one-and-done,” a reference to the one-term Illinois Democrat defeated in 2014″.

Pete Aguilar has done very little to work for the people of the 31st District. He has worked hard to be a rubber stamp for the Democrat establishment that has sold away our safety and freedom without any concern for the consequences. Below are a list of issues voters find important and how Pete Aguilar stood on each issue.

  1. Iran Nucular Deal – Pete Aguilar stood against the will of the people and his district and voted with establishment Democrats and supported the dangerous deal with Iran. Pete Aguilar was quoted in a story in the Press Enterprise saying “There is no such thing as a perfectly negotiated agreement, and the (deal) is no different. However, it is the best diplomatic solution available to the international community and I will vote to support the agreement.”
  2. No Rate Regulation of Broadband Internet Access Act – This act was penned to keep the Obama administration from allowing major internet providers to levy higher fees on people using the internet Pete Aguilar stood against providing affordable internet and with the greedy lobbyists.
  3. Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act – This bills goal was to do two things Pete Aguilar voted NO on these two things:
      1) If an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States, and entitled to all the protections of such laws.
      2) Any infant born alive after an abortion or within a hospital, clinic, or other facility has the same claim to the protection of the law that would arise for any newborn, or for any person who comes to a hospital, clinic, or other facility for screening and treatment or otherwise becomes a patient within its care.
  4. Student Success Act – Pete Aguilar voted NO
  5. Resilient Federal Forests Act of 2015 – Pete Aguilar voted NO on the following:
    • Requires the President to establish the Wildfire Suppression Operations Account in the event of a major disaster for wildfire on federal lands (Title IX, Sec. 902).
    • Authorizes the President to appropriate funds from the Wildfire Suppression Operations Account to conduct wildfire suppression operations after previous funds have been exhausted (Title IX, Sec. 902).
    • Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to issue a “categorical exclusion” to certain forest management activities reducing the risk of wildfire, including, but not limited to, the removal of juniper trees, conifer trees, or invasive weeds (Title I, Sec. 106).
    • Defines “categorical exclusion” as an exception to certain requirements for a project or activity relating to the management of National Forest System lands, including, but not limited to, the following requirements (Sec. 2):
      • The requirement to report the project’s environmental impact;
      • The requirement to report the project’s alternatives; and
      • The requirement to report the project’s irreversible resource commitments.
    • Requires a plaintiff who challenges a forest management activity to post a bond or other security equal to the anticipated costs of the action estimated by the Secretary of Agriculture (Title III, Sec. 302).
    • Requires the court to return the bond or security to the plaintiff if the court rules in his or her favor on the action challenging the forest management activity, plus interest from the date the bond was provided (Title III, Sec. 302).
    • Prohibits a court from issuing a restraining order or preliminary injunction with respect to a decision to conduct a salvage operation or reforestation activity in response to a catastrophic event (Title II, Sec. 203).
  6. Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2015 – Pete Aguilar voted NO on expanding money for Americas crumbling transportation infrastructure while representing a district that is in dire need of transportation dollars.
  7. Enforce the Law for Sanctuary Cities Act – Pete Aguilar voted NO on protecting Americans from the dangerous illegal aliens that come here not looking for a better life but to make victims out of the citizens of the USA. Sanctuary cities have shown to be a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens that look to further victimize good honest people.

Pete Aguilar has done very little to help the people of the 31st District find solution to the issues they face on a day to day basis. He is very good though at flying his family to member only parties on the white house lawn and flying home to take pictures and receive awards from the many governing boards that only operate to make the communities life harder. Below are a few videos of Pete in action here at home.

San Bernardino Schools Student Discipline & Citations Discussion

Draft of SBCUSD Board Policy School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support 2-4-16v4 Pg2 001

About 120 people from San Bernardino Unified School District, School Police, School Board members and various ethnic based organizations from throughout the San Bernardino area met at the San Bernardino Club and Events center to go over sweeping changes to student discipline that many in the community see as adding to the dangers that exist within the city of San Bernardino. Out of the 120 plus people in attendance we only count nine parents. Most of the people in attendance are people that are advocating and receiving funding for the sweeping changes in student citations.

Both Pete Aguilar and Cheryl Brown had people from their office here in attendance. On top of that we had four San Bernardino School District Board Members a clear violation of the Brown act. The violation is that out of the seven members that sit on the board Scott Wyatt, Barbara Flores, Abigail Medina and Mike Gallo are here creating a quorum. Apparently this isn’t the first time San Bernardino School Board has had a quorum without putting out the public notice of the meeting. School Board Sup Dale Mardsen said that since they have four board members at the meeting they now have to fly this as a public meeting after the fact. We asked board member Barbara Flores about this and she said “who cares this is important what are they (DA Ramos and his public integrity unit) going to do slap our hands? I’m ok with that!” To make matters worse later on into the meeting another Board Member (that makes five) came into the meeting Board Member Rogers. It was clear that these board members have no respect for the laws that govern them.

SBC Unified Board Quorum

Dr. Harold Vollkommer and Superintendent Marsden worked hand in hand to control the conversation of the meeting leaving ZERO room for real questions or allowing people to speak their minds. It was so bad that Student Parent advocate Steven Figueroa said so in his comments publicly. The only people for this failed plan to remove consequences for the very things most parents work so hard to protect their children from were the people who stood to make money off of implementing the programs. From the mess of switching from different colored paper that was all out of order, poor time management and having the wrong information in the packets this meeting was a mess.

Another key person that stood out to us here is that Rialto School Board Member Dina Walker who was in favor of these horrible ideas making us wonder if Rialto Schools safety is now in jeopardy? Why would a Rialto School Board member attend a meeting like this, speak favorably of it and not have plans for using it in Rialto? Also Mrs. Walker was not there in another capacity alone she self identified as a Rialto School Baord Member and Dale Marsden also introduced her solely in her title as Rialto School Board Member.

Parents spoke about how the district is making parent involvement extremely difficult in this process and in attending this meeting. They are right this whole process has been made out to be as secret and behind closed doors as possible. San Bernardino School District is paying 1,500 a day for an upland based attorney to oversee this process. When this plan was launched it was done in a district employee eyes only email and employees were told they would find trouble with the district if they shared the information that is within.

Dale Marsden told us that no decision has been made and that this DRAFT proposal and that the School Board still has to approve it. The only problem is that Five board members are there all speaking privately about the Draft Proposal and they all are in favor of the proposal.

City of Rialto Shows You How They Plan To Take Away Your Car!!!!!

The City of Rialto is teaming up with SCAG (Southern California Associated Governments) to show you how they plan to get you out of your cars and remove your freedom.

This Group is run by a former communist from RUSSIA Hasan Ikhrata and as you can see from the photo below he is all about his own version of fair. The force climate change rules on us, force people into electric cars then claim that those electric cars that don’t use fuel are the reason SAN BAG and SCAG are pushing you out of your cars and forcing you to pay twice for freeways with TOLL LANES.

What cracks me up is in the video below Hasan Ikhrata asks a room full of Progressive Hippies who has a Hybrid car and only one person has one and he still trys to use that one person as the main reason that we can’t fund road construction.

https://youtu.be/ImW4HdO6mHE

The real reason there is no money for roads is that the people YOU elect into office vote to raid the gas tax funds to pay off special interests and line the pockets of them and their friends. Don’t be fooled these people do not care about you all they want is you out of your cars and into crowded homes.

Affordable Housing = Stack and Pack no yard just more small houses

Bike Sharing = No more freedom of choice you use what is available to others

Bike Lanes = Well you must have somewhere to ride that shared bike

Bus Transit = You know those large, smelly things that hold all the people you try to avoid? Yeah they want you in one of those.

Freeway Improvements = Toll Lanes so you can pay twice for smaller lanes and no more shoulders

Replacement Bridges = A great way to spend millions for those people that worked to get you elected the special interests

We asked SANBAG when we would begin to see any advertisments about the public comment session since it was supposed to begin in December and this was their message to us:

Hello thank you for your message. As we shared with you and the other Community Advisory Group members on December 17, 2015, the I-10 Draft Environmental Document, which was originally scheduled to circulate this month is now planned for circulation in February/March 2016. This additional time is needed as the Environmental Protection Agency has a new air quality modeling requirement and we are in the process of running new models to comply. We are looking to provide additional updates on timing of the circulation as we continue to make progress on the modeling. Once a firm date is identified for the start of the circulation period, there will be a full public outreach push to meet and exceed notification requirements for the public review and comment period of the Draft Environmental Document. Please stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks. Thank you.

So are they looking to go all the way to March or is this failed attempt at “informing” the public going to come at an abrupt end soon?

Please make time to come down to city hall this weekend and make your opinion heard.

Election Perspectives Measures “Q” & “R”

Most voter guides begin with the BIG TIME regional elections then work down to the local stuff, if you haven’t noticed were a little different.

Also be advised “NONE OF THESE ENDORSEMENTS HAVE COME AT ANY FINACIAL GAIN TO THIS BLOG OR ANYONE DIRECTLY CONECTED TO THIS BLOG”

We put out feelers to people running in local elections to obtain the information they feel you should know about them but we have nothing more to gain that passing along our advice and opinion to people on this monster election. We get our reward from having knowledgeable readers that are energized and ready to cast their ballots.

Measure “Q” & “R”: NO ON “Q” – YES ON “R”

Measure “Q” is the board of supervisors attempt to forego massive cuts to their pay and spending. What bothers me most is that our Board of Supervisors didn’t have to go out and get your signatures to place their competing measure on the  ballot they just drafted it with your tax dollars then added it to the November Ballot. This County Board of supervisors is overpaid and waste millions of dollars at the expense of the County. The Board of Supervisors wants you to believe that this measure will more closely align their salaries with other similar counties. This measure is a way for the political waters to be cloudy and confuse the voters. They also want you to believe that the sole reason for the competing measure is a blackmail attack on their failed efforts to bring this county true and real pension reform.

Measure “R”is a ballot measure to make our board of supervisors a part-time position. This would cut board members’ salary and benefit packages from a high of more than $308,000 to $60,000 annually. It would also reduce allocations for political staff (salaries, mostly) to $300,000 per district. Right now, the supervisors collectively spend $6 million on their staffs (or an average of $1.2 million per supervisor), and one staffer is being paid more than $225,000 a year. So while you work hard at your job(s) making barley enough to scrape by these County Board members want to continue to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

One of the board members Josie Gonzalez threatened to quit if measure “R” passes because it would not allow her to live at the level she is currently comfortable at now. So sorry but you shouldn’t make so much money while the rest of the county is hurting, and we don’t need any more career elected official’s.

Other Notable Tid Bits: Pulled from http://reformsbcounty.com/

YOU elected one of the five members of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors to represent you in your district and help you navigate through the red tape appointed bureaucrats create in county government with onerous regulations and frivolous rules.  Unfortunately, the current members of the board have decided they do NOT want to work for YOU.  That’s right!!
Instead of working for you, the members of the board voted to hire a “Chief Executive Officer” for $300,000+ a year to make the decisions they are required to make – a bureaucrat that does not answer to you. And, they did this without YOUR consent or vote.
YOU no longer have a member of the board of supervisors who can assist you with county department employees who unfairly target you or create red tape to keep you from doing business in this county and squash potential new jobs so badly needed in our county.  YOUR board member voted to give away that authority to an unelected bureaucrat IN VIOLATION OF THE COUNTY’S CHARTER, which specifically says the chairman of the board is the “executive agent” for the county.  Don’t let politicians get away with this.

Vote NO on Q!  Vote YES on R!

The members of the Board of Supervisors are really upset about Measure R.  Like they did in 2006 when the five board members voted to place a measure on the ballot to give themselves a $50,000-a-year pay raise, they are trying to confuse voters with a new initiative – Measure Q – which will allow them to keep their high salaries.  It was the current members of the Board of Supervisors who decided they only needed to meet part time.  Do they deserve full-time pay, including the extra $50,000-a-year pay raise, if they only meet part time?

Measure Q was conjured up by the five members of the board to defeat Measure R – a measure placed on the ballot by almost 74,000 citizens of San Bernardino County.  Measure R will pay them $60,000 a year for part-time work.  That is more than the average family in San Bernardino County earns working full time.  Do not be fooled by their deceptive initiative.  Vote NO on Measure Q.

Vote NO on Q!  Vote YES on R!

Those who helped us collect signatures and/or are endorsing Measure R include Republicans, Democrats, Tea Party members, grassroots candidates for office, community activists, animal welfare workers, members of employee organizations and constituents who are simply fed up with elected leaders who don’t earn their keep.
